“Governor,” is one that we are not sure we will ever be able to replace. His Dam was one of our favourite AQHA brood mares, known for passing on beautiful confirmation and calm disposition. His Lusitano Sir, intelligent and athletic, was purchased from Brazil and brought home to the ranch Canada. This is the first, and possibly only, home raised Azteca that I will be offering. 

This 2011 Grey Gelding is the whole package. He has been the poster boy of our program for years. He had a smooth textbook start by my father and has been our passion project ever since, accompanying us down the road for many clinics and demos. The equine industry has no bounds for those with talent, life experience and solid foundation like his. I’ve had the pleasure of camping on him, while applying some practical life skills outside working cattle. What I admire about him most is his ability to adapt. He doesn’t need a big day, but can handle one with ease if asked. If you need him to jump out and get somewhere, he will, but is happy to walk back to the barn on a loose rein. He doesn’t require no maintenance, has clean xrays, is an easy keeper, takes care of you and knows how to stay out of trouble. He is confident with only the company of his rider and travels fluently in big country. He watches a cow and is very fun to rope on. A confident rider makes a confident horse, but in his case, I feel he makes all situations manageable. His mature attitude makes him very willing and eager to please. 

Beyond his experience with the lifestyle, his education and skills of finesse are something mesmerizing. He has extensive horsemanship training, is a beautiful mover in the arena and is capable of some advanced maneuvers. If you’re looking for a horse to help further your  journey with horsemanship, enjoy leisure activities with or dig in the trenches - he is your guy. Great bone, wears a size 2, stands 15’3, loves humans and is enjoyable to be around.
